A Day with my Wild Man

While Korey, Eden, Dylan, and Dalton were camping in Yosemite, I was able to have a day with just Asher (Josey went to daycare). It was a wonderful day. We went to Forest Falls and then swimming at the YMCA pool. It was great to be able to give him my undivided attention. He rarely gets that from me. His behavior was excellent because he wasn't having to compete with anyone for attention. Of course, he was still just as energetic and adventurous as ever, as you can see in the pictures below. We had a blast.

Swim Lessons

The boys started swim lessons in June and have continued them through July. They are both doing so well. It has made for a much more comfotable summer. I feel safer with them at the pool and at the beach. They know how to handle themselves in the water. It's great.

It's Been Awhile

Sorry for the lengthy pause in blogging. I've been relaxing and enjoying my summer with my kiddos. Anyway, I'm back to the blog, and you can expect many posts about all the adventures we've had the last couple of months.

I'm way behind.

OK. So, the excitement over Korey's graduation, and all the traveling we did, caused me to get way behind on posting about some other important events in our family. The next few posts should catch me up.

Asher Graduated from Preschool

One week before Korey's graduation, Asher had his promotion ceremony. It was a bit loud and crazy. There were probably 14 hyped up 5 year olds trying to sit through the hour long ceremony. It was pretty funny and perfectly suited to my wild man. He looked so grown up. His teacher presented him with the "Congeniality Award" because of his happy, friendly personality. I'm so proud of him. He'll be starting kindergarten soon. It's just amazing. I can't wait to see what the future holds for this beautiful, outgoing, charasmatic boy.

Eden Received the Principal's Award

Eden was incredibly successful this year in 2nd grade. He earned several awards, but the top honor came at the end of the school year. He received the Principal's Award. This was because of his outstanding academic achievement. He is such a "Smarty Pants". His daddy and I are very proud of him. His future looks amazingly bright.

Josey turned 2

I can't believe my baby girl is 2 already. It's wild, I feel like she grew up over night. It really did go by SO fast! She is amazing. She has her own little personality already. She tries to hang with her big brothers, yet she is extremely girly. She loves to be told she looks cute. She wants to look at herself in the mirror after she gets her hair done. She loves to play with babies. However, she makes car and gun noises, and she has no problem pushing or punching her brothers if she feels they are in the way. And, she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger in a way I never expected. I love her so much. She has brought such joy to our lives and made our family feel more complete.
