A Week in Lake Charles

My favorite memory of that week were my kisses from Jack.

Fun Times with cousin Eleanor: I convinced her to come home with us after our Louisiana trip.  :-)
Hanging out with Cousin David

Eden's 10th Birthday Party: Sheesh, he's in the double digits now.

A Night Away with my Man, in Carlsbad Beach- SO NECESSARY (It was either that, or mental health leave from my job and my life.  I think I made the right choice.)

December 2011

This poor old blog had definitely been neglected.  Time to dust off the cobwebs and add some posts.  I figure I should start with a recap of the last seven months.

Here goes...

Eden performed in the Redlands Christmas parade with his school band.
We went to Mrs. Yolanda's annual family Christmas dinner.
 Christmas Morning (Abby's 1st)
Louisiana Trip for my Grandpa's Funeral
As sad as I was, it was SO wonderful to be able to hug EACH and EVERY one of my extended family members (on my dad's side) all in the same day!!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
We also got to visit with my aunt Jodee while we were there.
P.S. New Years Eve in New Orleans is CRAZY!  Everyone sets off fireworks, even though it's illegal.  It was one of the best fireworks shows I'd ever seen, and it was just random people setting them off in their front lawns.

Awesome Kid Quotes #1

Josey (holding Korey's hand while walking) looked up at him and said, "Daddy, you are awesome....and you have big muscles."
Sigh, she already knows just how to talk to a man.

First Big Girl Bath

Tonight Abigail had her first "big girl bath" with her big sister. They were too cute in the bath together.

She Started Talking

Abby started talking just a few days ago. The first time we heard a distinguishable word was when she was upset and said, "mom" and "dad". I can't remember which came first. Then, yesterday, she started repeating words. She said , "da da" and "Leila" (my cousin-we're spending the week in Lake Charles). It's amazing. It seems so early for her to actually be able to repeat us.
