Halloween

We had a very nice Halloween this year. It was a Sunday, so we spent a low-key day at home. We carved pumpkins and then did a little trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Josey was a bee. (Being the planner that I am, I found her costume at CVS just the day before. At least it was on sale!! Hee hee)

Asher was Iron Man.
Eden was a skeleton.
Edens' friend Tristan joined us for Trick-or-Treating. Good times.

Asher's Kindergarten Field Trip

So, even though I am not a stay at home mom, I try to attend as many school functions for my kids as I can. As I have told many people, my kids get my sick leave, I don't. Anyway, I was fortnate enough to be able to take a day off and go to Asher's Pumpkin Patch Field Trip. It was fun. We saw a few animals, walked through a maze, took a hay ride, and picked our own pumpkins. It was such a treat to spend that time with Asher. It's rare that he gets my undivided attention.
P.S. When I walked into his classroom before we left for the fieldtrip, all of the students were sitting on the rug area. Each of them had their own special spot on the rug. There were 2 students who had a special spot AWAY from the rest of the group. I was SO pleased to see that Asher had a spot ON the rug, not away from the rest of the class. His teacher thought it was so funny that I noticed that, and that I had such relief at the realization that my son was not a behavior problem.

Asher Plays Again

Asher played soccer again this fall. He seems to be enjoying it and starting to understand it a little better. He had a great coach and a fun team. Often times, us parents would just be laughing on the sidelines because of their antics.

Asher lost his first tooth. He actually pulled it out himself. He was very proud.

My First Peek at Baby #4

September 29, 2010

This was my first doctor visit for this pregnancy. It was pretty typical, nothing out of the ordinary. The one thing that really caught me off guard, though, was the ultrasound. The nurse practitioner did a quick ultrasound to see the heartbeat, and I was so surprised by what I saw. The baby had already developed legs and arms. The little arms were waving around. It was just amazing!!

P.S. This is NOT my photo. The nurse practitioner did not print one for me. But this looks very close to what my little one looked like.

Helping Daddy

Korey started a new project in our living room. He has stripped all of the trim and is working on getting everything back to wood. The kids decided they wanted to help out. Too cute.

Archery

So, Eden is now a cub scout. One of his first activities was an archery shoot. He had a great time and did pretty well, considering that it was his first time.
