Asher's Birthday

We bought him a camera. I have a feeling he is going to be the artist of the family. I knew he'd like it. It was the only gift we bought him....and he peeked at it ahead of time, so he knew what it was before he opened it. Sigh. I feel partially responsible. The box came and I teased him; showing him the box and saying that it was his gift. I guess that was too much temptation. I put the box in my room, but didn't hide it. He just couldn't resist!! Oh well, he was still thrilled to have it. We went to Sea World for his birthday so he had a chance to try it out.

Here's one of his actual photos. I think he's pretty good already.

He's Six!!

He reminds me that life is supposed to be fun.

He feels everything passionately.

He's adventurous, brave, and outgoing.

He laughs a lot and adds silliness to every situation.

He makes me smile, laugh, worry, pray (often),

and lose my patience (sometimes). :-)

He's a bundle of energy that still likes to snuggle and cuddle.

And, he's growing up so fast.

Happy Birthday Asher.

I Love You!!

Hangin' with Meme

My mother-in-law came out in January for a visit. I know, I know, this post is long overdue. Working, while pregnant, and running a household with 3 kids consumes quite a bit of time!! Blogging often takes a bit seat. Anyway, Meme came out to visit and spent a ton of quality time with the kids. Korey and I still had to work, so she spent her days with the kiddos. They had a blast. It was so wonderful to have her here, knowing she was bonding with the grandkids she misses every day. On the weekend, we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific. We had a wonderful time.
The kids had the opportunity to pet some sharks.
I love Eden's face here!
This was the night before she left. This was such a sweet moment. Asher had a very hard time telling her good-bye. He was in tears. He really enjoyed having her here. She gave him her undivided attention, something that he, as the middle child, rarely gets from anyone. He actually got out of bed at 10:00 to come give her another hug.

Looking so Fine

Sorry ladies, he's taken!Disclaimer: He was dressed up for a party. This is NOT how he normally looks!

Talking Smack

As Eden is getting older, he is starting to learn how to "talk smack" with the best of them!! He really likes when he can get a good zinger in about Korey or I. Recently, we were having a chat about the kids possible athletic inclinations. I was saying that Eden is built for the water, and will probably be an excellent swimmer. Asher is built for running, and will probably be great at track and field. Eden piped in and said, "Yeah, and dad is built for TV." Korey wasn't loving that comment!!

Can we sleep in the tent?

Whenever the kids are on a break from school, they LOVE to build tents. It's the one thing they do together without fighting (Mama loves that!!). Inevitably, their question is, "Can we sleep in the tent?" Usually, we say yes. Aren't they too cute in there?!
